Timing chain kit — cadena kit — for the Mahindra Scorpio 2.49, 2.5 and 2.6. Chains, tensioner and guide rails supplied together so the whole timing drive is renewed in one job — export-packed and quoted within 24 hours.
A timing chain does not wear in isolation. The tensioner loses its ability to take up slack and the plastic guide rails wear grooves, so a chain fitted against tired guides is slack again far sooner than it should be.
That is why this is supplied as a kit. Everything in the timing drive is replaced together, which is also the only way to be confident the noise you were chasing is actually gone.
A rattle on start-up that settles after a few seconds is the classic warning — the tensioner bleeding down overnight and taking a moment to pressurise. Left alone it becomes a constant rattle, and eventually a jumped tooth and bent valves.
Set the engine to its timing marks and follow the correct locking procedure before removing anything. A chain refitted a tooth out will run, badly, and can destroy the engine it was meant to save.
Clear answers for importers, workshops, and distributors.

The chains together with the tensioner and guide rails. Tell us your engine variant when you enquire and we will confirm exactly what is included before you order.
A rattle for a few seconds on a cold start is the usual first sign, sometimes with a timing-correlation fault code. Once the rattle is constant the job is overdue.
Worth considering if either is driven off the timing drive on your engine, since the labour overlaps almost entirely. Ask us and we will quote them alongside.
