Front wheel cylinders for the Mahindra CJ340 and MM540 Willys Jeep, supplied as a left- and right-hand pair. Export-packed and quoted within 24 hours.
Wheel cylinders push the shoes against the drum. They wear and corrode at much the same rate on both sides, so fitting one new cylinder against an old one gives uneven braking across the axle — which is why these are supplied as a pair.
The usual failure is the seals: brake fluid weeps past them and soaks the shoe linings. Once a lining is contaminated with fluid it cannot be cleaned, so plan on new shoes at the same time.
Inspect the drum for scoring and measure it against the maximum diameter stamped on it. New cylinders and shoes against a worn drum will judder.
Bleed the brakes fully afterwards and check that both sides come up evenly. Air left in one side gives a long pedal and a pull under braking.

Two — the left- and right-hand pair for the front axle. Drum brakes are renewed a full axle at a time so the braking stays balanced.
If the old cylinders were leaking, yes. Brake fluid on a lining ruins it and no amount of cleaning brings it back. Tell us what you need and we will quote shoes alongside the cylinders.
