Brake master cylinder assembly for the Mahindra CJ340 and MM540 Willys Jeep, supplied with its fluid reservoir. TVS Girling, export-packed and quoted within 24 hours.
The master cylinder turns what your foot does into hydraulic pressure at all four wheels. When its internal seals wear, pressure leaks back past them instead of reaching the brakes.
The classic sign is a pedal that sinks slowly to the floor under steady pressure while the fluid level stays put and nothing is wet on the ground — the fluid is going nowhere, it is simply slipping past the seals inside.
Bench-bleed the cylinder before fitting it. Doing that first saves a long session at the wheels chasing air that will not come out.
Use fresh fluid from a sealed container. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air, and moisture is what corrodes cylinder bores and lowers the boiling point exactly when hard braking needs it highest.

Yes, the cylinder is supplied with its fluid reservoir and cap. We confirm the exact contents when we quote.
Usually. If the pedal sinks under steady pressure with no visible leak and no drop in fluid level, the master cylinder seals are passing. Check for external leaks at the wheels first to rule those out.
This is the TVS Girling assembly with the reservoir mounted on the cylinder. We also list a tandem cylinder fed from a remote reservoir for the CJ340 and Stockman 4.90. Look at what is fitted now — if the fluid arrives through pipes from a reservoir elsewhere on the bulkhead, you want that one instead.
