Genuine OEM rear shock absorber for the Mahindra Scorpio S10. Part 0403AAA02771N — the rear damper that controls body movement and keeps the tyres loaded over rough surfaces, fitment-verified and export-packed for international freight.
The spring carries the weight; the shock absorber controls what the spring does next. Without damping, a spring compressed by a bump keeps oscillating, and the tyre spends part of that time lightly loaded or off the ground entirely.
That is why worn dampers lengthen braking distances and make a vehicle feel unsettled in corners, even though nothing about the ride height or the springs has changed.
Look for oil misting down the body of the damper, which means the seal has gone, and for a vehicle that continues to move after being pushed down hard on one corner and released.
Also check the bushes at both eyes. A perished bush knocks in a way that is easily mistaken for a failed damper, and it is worth having them in hand when the shock absorbers are changed.
Clear answers for importers, workshops, and distributors.

Yes — always change dampers in axle pairs. A new unit on one side and a worn one on the other gives uneven damping across the axle, which affects handling and tyre wear. Tell us the quantity you want and we will quote accordingly.
Ask us when you enquire and we will confirm exactly what is supplied before you order. If the bushes are separate we can quote them alongside so the job is not held up waiting for them.
